Cod is a versatile fish that does well on the stovetop or in the oven. It's a little too flaky for grilling, though it can be done by wrapping it in foil or using a grillpan.

Product Tour

Perhaps no seafood has played a more prominent role in the commercial fishing history of humans. Cod has sustained civilizations for millennia. Its plentiful availability, ease of catching, and many health benefits – including high amounts of protein, Vitamins A, D, and E, and Omega-3 Fatty Acids – continue to mak it a highly coveted food source.

Viking treasure

Viking treasure

The deep waters surrounding Iceland are the perfect place to find Atlantic Cod. Here, the icy North Atlantic meets the warm Gulf Stream, creating an ideal feeding ground for this hearty fish. For centuries, Cod has been a central figure in Icelandic culture, and our fishing partners carry on that tradition today. Our Cod is hook-and-line caught by a Marine Stewardship Council (MSC)-Certified fishery, adhering to the highest standards in sustainable fishing and environmental stewardship.

Fantastic tasting cod!

This cod was so good! We used to eat cod all the time from Alaska until Alaska got too much pollution in it's water. The cod was terrible from Alaska. The cod from Iceland is very fresh and flavorful; just like we remember cod used to be. We dipped it in beaten egg and flour and fried it in Crisco. It turned out so good and very firm, yet flaky. Done to perfection it tasted fantastic! It was so nice to have good quality cod again! We immediately ordered 8 more!

Icelandic Cod

Delicious! Dipped in egg, flour, salt and pepper and fried in butter about seven minutes on each side. Results were a nice and flaky white cod.

Consistently flavorful. Important for me to know cod is caught in Northern Waters without contamination.
