Spiral Ham

| (1) 7-8 lb. ham

Tender and mouthwatering, this bone-in spiral ham is the convenient–and incredibly delicious–way to serve up a family feast. No one needs to know you got a little help in the kitchen.

*All products are shipped raw and frozen

Thaw completely, 36-48 hours. Preheat oven to 325°. Remove ham from refrigerator; discard packaging, and let stand 1 hour. A Wrap ham with parchment-lined foil and place on rimmed baking sheet. Transfer to oven and bake for 45 minutes until internal temperature reaches 120°. If applying a glaze, remove from oven and glaze the ham. Increase temperature to 400°. Bake, brushing with more glaze every few minutes until a caramelized crust forms, after about 20-30 minutes. Transfer to a cutting board or platter and serve with the natural juices and your favorite mustard.

Ham is a sub-primal of the Leg – a large section that comprises most of the rear section of the hog. Because of its regular use, the muscles in the ham are well-worked, making it relatively low in fat and requiring a nice long, slow cook. Like most hams sold at the butcher shop, our hams come pre-cooked, so the heavy-lifting is already done.

Our chef-coveted Heritage breed hogs are raised in open-pasture farms in eastern Pennsylvania. Naturally herd animals, the pigs roam outside as long as they like and can come inside for shelter as they please. They eat a 13-stage all-vegetarian diet and grow to roughly 280 lbs. Like all stock we source, our pork is raised without any antibiotics, hormones or steroids, and our farming partners employ the strictest standards in animal welfare.
