Chuck Roast is named for the Chuck primal from which it comes, a large section at the front of the cattle that includes the neck, shoulder and upper portions of the chest. Chuck Roast is often sold as “pot roast” and is ideal for stovetop or oven braising. It’s slightly fattier than other slow-cooking cuts like short rib and brisket and has a rich taste.
In the American heartland, our Black Angus cattle are pastured in large open fields and fed a 100% vegetarian diet. They’re grain-finished on high-moisture corn for 120 days, creating fantastic marbling and tender, flavorful beef. Like all of our products, it’s antibiotic, steroid, and hormone-free. We have ordered the roast many times; it is generous in size and cooks really well. Once done in a crock pot or browned in a skillet then roasted it is fabulous! Rastelli's hit a home run with this!
