Perhaps no seafood is more revered than the lobster – a name synonymous with decadence. In fact, lobster has been a staple of coastal populations since prehistoric times. Lobster meat is exceptionally rich, sometimes described as “buttery,” with a sweet and salty flavor. It’s high in protein, low in fat and has more calcium than any other seafood.
Lobster thrive in the cold border waters of Northern Maine and Nova Scotia, where ours are caught by day-boat lobstermen using baited pots. Highly regulated, the Atlantic lobster industry takes enormous pains to ensure it’s being done in a way that is sustainable for the species, the environment, and the men and women who work the waters. Like all of the fisheries we work with, our Lobstering partners are MSC-Certified, ensuring a product that’s not only delicious, but harvested and processed in the most responsible way possible.
