
Asian Inspired Meatloaf
This recipe incorporates distinct Asian flavors to create a delicious new twist on meatloaf, the ultimate comfort food.
To make it healthier and leaner than traditional versions, we use a combination of ground turkey and ground chicken plus True Made Foods' no sugar added ketchup and all natural BBQ sauce.

Ingredients
For the Meatloaf- 1 pound Organic Ground Turkey;
- 1 pound Free-Range Ground Chicken;
- 1/2 cup panko bread crumbs;
- 1 egg;
- 1/2 tablespoon fresh ginger (grated);
- 3 garlic cloves (minced);
- 1/4 cup soy sauce;
- 1/2 cup green onions (chopped);
- 1 8oz. can chopped water chestnuts (drained);
- Salt and pepper (to taste);
- 1/3 cup True Made Foods BBQ sauce;
- 1/3 cup True Made Foods No Sugar Added ketchup;
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce;
- 1 teaspoon fresh ginger (minced);
- 1 tablespoon brown sugar;
Preparation
- Preheat oven to 400 degrees (Tip: place a sheet tray on the bottom rack in case any of the glaze bubbles over);
- Spray a loaf pan with non-stick spray;
- Mix together all the meatloaf ingredients in a large bowl. Add mixture to loaf pan;
- Whisk together glaze ingredients in a smaller bowl. Pour approximately half the glaze evenly over the uncooked meatloaf. Reserve the remaining glaze for serving;
- Bake at 400 degrees to an internal temperature of 165 degrees (typically 45-55 minutes depending on your oven);
- When cooked, remove from oven and let cool for 5-10 minutes before removing from the pan;
Serving
- Slice and serve with rice, noodles, mashed potatoes or with a side of roasted broccoli;
- Pour extra glaze over meatloaf slices;
- Enjoy!
