This recipe incorporates distinct Asian flavors to create a delicious new twist on meatloaf, the ultimate comfort food.

To make it healthier and leaner than traditional versions, we use a combination of ground turkey and ground chicken plus True Made Foods' no sugar added ketchup and all natural BBQ sauce.

Serves 6-8 people


For the Meatloaf
  • 1 pound Organic Ground Turkey;
  • 1 pound Free-Range Ground Chicken;
  • 1/2 cup panko bread crumbs;
  • 1 egg;
  • 1/2 tablespoon fresh ginger (grated);
  • 3 garlic cloves (minced);
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce;
  • 1/2 cup green onions (chopped);
  • 1 8oz. can chopped water chestnuts (drained);
  • Salt and pepper (to taste);
For the Glaze
  • 1/3 cup True Made Foods BBQ sauce;
  • 1/3 cup True Made Foods No Sugar Added ketchup;
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce;
  • 1 teaspoon fresh ginger (minced);
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar;


  1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees (Tip: place a sheet tray on the bottom rack in case any of the glaze bubbles over);
  2. Spray a loaf pan with non-stick spray;
  3. Mix together all the meatloaf ingredients in a large bowl.  Add mixture to loaf pan;
  4. Whisk together glaze ingredients in a smaller bowl. Pour approximately half the glaze evenly over the uncooked meatloaf.  Reserve the remaining glaze for serving;Asian Inspired Meatloaf recipe step 4
  5. Bake at 400 degrees to an internal temperature of 165 degrees (typically 45-55 minutes depending on your oven);Asian Inspired Meatloaf recipe step 5
  6. When cooked, remove from oven and let cool for 5-10 minutes before removing from the pan; 


  1. Slice and serve with rice, noodles, mashed potatoes or with a side of roasted broccoli;
  2. Pour extra glaze over meatloaf slices;
  3. Enjoy!
